Designing and installing the latest AV technology into a listed heritage building is a complex and difficult task.

The Hungarian Competition Authority has restored part of its building, constructed in 1869, to add a conference room, meeting rooms and a completely refurbished Competition Council chamber.

Krisztián Tolvaj, representing Galax Kft, worked closely with the planners and interior designers, the Authority and the product suppliers from the start of the planning phase to ensure that all technical details were considered.

Audio, visual and data transmision equipment with integrated control systems were installed into each room as required.

The Competition Council chamber design incorporates 6 of Accuride’s mechanical screen lifts (DBLIFT-0019) to access the monitors.

The aesthetic appearance and usability of the room is important and, when not in use, the screens can be pushed back into the desk tops to be completely hidden.

A particular design feature of the mechanical lift is the very narrow installation width, which makes it ideal for integration into the minimalistic desks.

The mechanical lifts were supplied through Accuride’s distribution partner in Hungary, BIOTEK Kft.
