Stainless steel full extension telescopic slides give access to train battery

The customer needed a solution to get access for maintenance to large and heavy batteries stored under the train.

Several factors must be considered for this type of application. The slide must be robust and be able to stand up to vibrations.

Obviously the slide will also be open to the elements. In this particular case the trains were to be used in tropical areas and therefore the slides needed to withstand rough climate conditions and the humidity.

Stainless steel telescopic slide for corrosion resistance

The 5300 slide profile is a tough product well suited to supporting heavy loads. In this instance the profile was manufactured in stainless steel; a sensible choice of material to give the corrosion resistance required.
